Reduction in costs and raw material requirements with electric upsetting
Electro-upsetting is an evolutionary phase of forging preparation, it involves heating the bar via electric conduction, while pressing, to accumulate a sufficient volume of material to obtain the desired shape in the mould.
The electro-upsetting process offers many advantages:
high product strength, less use of steel, almost zero forging slag, lower processing costs.
In our factory in Gavardo, in the province of Brescia, we can carry out electro-upsetting of shafts with complex shapes and of considerable length, to then deliver the finished product to the customer.
